Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure

Grandstand & Paddock enclosure

The Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure allows racegoers access to all of the main racecourse facilities, including the Parade Ring and Winners’ Enclosure area, as well as offering excellent views of both the Flat and National Hunt racecourse from either of the two tiered grandstands.

This enclosure is served by a number of food and drink outlets - whether you want a three course meal in the Winning Streak Restaurant or a light bite in the Horseshoe Café Bar, there is something to cover all tastes and budgets.

In addition, hot and cold snacks can be found in the Champions Bar and Buffet and the Gods Solution Bar, which also offer full bar facilities along with the Parade Ring and Betting Shop Bars. Click here for more information about where to eat & drink on course.

The Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure also offers a variety of betting mediums for racegoers, whether you prefer to walk through the betting ring, visit the Tote Betting Shop or have a flutter at one of the many Totepool windows.

Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure admission tickets also give access to the Course Enclosure.

*Picnics are not permitted in the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure*

Course Enclosure

Family in the course enclosure

Situated in the centre of the track, the Course Enclosure provides a very good view of both the National Hunt and Flat racecourses.

The Course Enclosure is a picnic enclosure, but racegoers are reminded that alcohol is limited to personal consumption only. Should you wish to bring alcohol to accompany your picnic, we allow four cans or one bottle per person. All picnics must be brought in through the Course Enclosure Entrance and cannot be taken into the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. There is also a bar facility with hot & cold snacks available to purchase*.

There is a betting facility in this enclosure and for the children there is an outdoor playground. During the summer holidays and Saturday afternoons additional attractions are provided to keep younger racegoers entertained throughout the day.

There is a limited amount of on-course parking in this enclosure. Parking is free of charge and operates on a first come, first serve basis.

Should you decide to transfer from the Course Enclosure to the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure, you can do so by visiting the Transfer Point, and purchasing a Grandstand and Paddock Transfer Ticket for £11.00 on Standard Racedays, or £14 on Feature Racedays.

*Please note that during the National Hunt Season (except for 28th December & New Year's Day), the Course Enclosure will operate as a Picnic Enclosure with the Centre Course Bar open for shelter only.

Car Parking

All car parks are free of charge and provide access to both enclosures. The car park at the south (Catterick Village) end of the site, on hard standing, is for disabled parking and Annual Pass Holders.

Cars may also drive into the Course Enclosure.
