Work has started on the re-development works to the Parade Ring and Weighing Room at Catterick Racecourse. Upon completion of the works, an enlarged Parade Ring will incorporate a new Winner’s Enclosure and Pre-Parade Ring while the Weighing Room is being modernised, and will be kitted out with state-of-the-art facilities including a jockey’s warm up area.
So far, the existing Winner's Enclosure and Weighing Room have been stripped out, and the foundations for the Weighing Room extension have been laid. Meanwhile, the Parade Ring has gone from this:

The course is due to re-open for the start of the Flat season on Monday 17 June. There are some changes to Catterick's Flat season fixtures this year as a result of these redevelopment works, including a new date for Ladies’ Day which has moved to an afternoon fixture on Wednesday 28 August. The Yorkshire Beer Festival has also moved and will now take place on Saturday 21 September, alongside the Twelve Furlong Series Final. You can view the full fixture list here >>
