This meeting is the Harvest Festival Race Day and alongside the racehorses in action on the track, racegoers will be able to enjoy traditional Village Fete style entertainment in the Course Enclosure, including a Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley and Hook-a-Duck! In addition there’ll be bouncy castles and a roundabout to keep the children entertained whilst the adults enjoy the racing.
There will also be live music throughout the afternoon from trombone soloist Kenneth Stamp and in keeping with the Harvest Festival theme, we will also be collecting donations for our local foodbank, StoreHouse in Richmond. The collection will be at the main entrance, and a full list of donation items can be found on the StoreHouse website here.
We will also have a text competition running on the day where racegoers will have the chance to win a race sponsorship experience. Two lucky racegoers will be given the opportunity to see the horses up close in the Parade Ring prior to the race and present the prize to winning connections after the race – to get your entry in early, simply complete the entry form here.
Tickets are still available to purchase online, and also at the gates on the day. Remember accompanied under 18’s go free and do not require a ticket!
Please be aware that the building works have now started at the course, and so the entrance nearest to Catterick Bridge is no longer in use. The main entrance to the racecourse is now at the East (Catterick Village) end of the racecourse. Please click here to view a map of the current layout.
If you are driving to the racecourse, leave the A1 at Junction 52 and follow the brown signs, which will lead over the bridge and directly to the racecourse. However please note that three-way traffic lights are currently in operation at Catterick Junction with Leeming Lane, so you may need to allow extra time for your journey or to plan a different route and arrive via Catterick Village.
The FREE shuttle bus will leave from Richmond Market Place (opposite the Town Hall Pub) at approx. 12.50pm, and will return again after racing.
