Next up at Catterick Races is the second of the tracks August Family Days – The All Creatures Great and Small Family Day on Wednesday 29th August. There’ll be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the afternoon with thrilling racing action, free children’s entertainment and live music!
The gates will be open from 12 noon, with the first race, The All Creatures Great & Small Family Day Novice Median Auction Stakes, scheduled to take place at 2pm. The feature race of the afternoon is the next qualifier in the 2018 Catterick Twelve Furlong Series at 4:30pm, and the last race is scheduled for 5pm.
Alongside seven thrilling races, racegoers will have the opportunity to discover all creatures great & small – while the racehorses are in action on the track, there will be a petting farm in the Course Enclosure with rabbits, guinea pigs, alpacas, a miniature donkey and more! There will also be free children’s entertainment throughout the afternoon including bouncy castles and a roundabout, and there will be a treasure hunt where children will have the opportunity to enter a draw to win four tickets for Lightwater Valley Theme Park at the end! Treasure hunters will need to follow a series of clues around the course to win a sweet prize and the chance to enter the prize draw.
There will also be live music throughout the afternoon from the Middlesbrough based band, Swilly Chill.
Remember, as with all Catterick’s race fixtures, under 18’s are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult and do not require a ticket. Adult tickets start at just £5 for the Course Enclosure and £15 for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
General admission tickets are available to purchase online here, while hospitality can be booked by calling the racecourse office on 01748 811478. Book online in advance and save up to 20% on your admission!
