Catterick Racecourse kicks off its 2025 Flat season on Wednesday 9 April, with the highly anticipated Easter Family Day, marking the first of 16 exciting Flat fixtures this year.
Under 18’s can enjoy free entry at all Catterick’s race days, but at four family days and throughout the summer holidays, there’s even more in store for the next generation of racing fans.
On Wednesday 9 April, families can enjoy a variety of Easter-themed activities alongside the thrilling races, including side stall games such as 'Find the Chick' and 'Egg in a Bucket,' as well as an Easter Egg Hunt. A giant slide and bouncy castle will also be available in the Course Enclosure for extra entertainment.
Young racegoers participating in the Easter Egg Hunt will want to keep a keen eye out for the Golden Egg, which will give them the chance to win tickets for Lightwater Valley Family Adventure Park.
Emma Stevenson, General Commercial Manager, commented, “Our family days are always a highlight, and we can’t wait to welcome the next generation of racegoers! There’s so much to look forward to this Flat season and we can’t wait to get started with the Easter Family Day on Wednesday 9 April.”
In addition to the free children’s entertainment, an exciting seven-race card will keep racegoers entertained throughout the day. The first race is set to begin at 2:13 pm, with the last race at 5:20 pm. During the afternoon, Catterick’s 2024 Flat Season Champion Owner – The Racing Emporium, Trainer – Tim Easterby, and Jockey – Jason Hart, will be presented with their well-deserved awards.
The gates open at midday, with a free shuttle bus running between Richmond Market Place and the racecourse one hour before the first race.
Racegoers visiting Catterick for the first time since the last Flat season will notice some changes, as the Horseshoe Café Bar – officially opened by Rishi Sunak MP on New Year's Day – is now open to everyone with a Grandstand & Paddock ticket. The completion of the Horseshoe Café Bar has transformed the Paddock area, offering a large, vibrant and contemporary space for racegoers to relax and enjoy refreshments alongside the racing action.
Other highlights this Flat season include the return of the Catterick Beer Festival Race Day, in partnership with The Pennine Brewing Co., on Saturday 24 May. Ladies' Day and more family fun days are set for August, whilst the season’s feature race, the William Hill Catterick Dash, takes place on the morning of Saturday 18 October, followed by live coverage of Ascot’s Champions Day on big screens around the course.
Tickets and hospitality for all Catterick’s 2025 Flat fixtures are available to book now, with admission starting at just £8 in advance and complimentary racecards available on arrival for all racegoers.
Advanced and group booking discounts are available when tickets are purchased online at www.catterickbridge.co.uk or over the phone by calling the racecourse office on 01748 811478, at least 48 hours prior to gates opening. Under 18’s accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge, and concessions are available for racegoers aged 65+, students, and military personnel.
