Our opening race is the Pinker’s Pond Apprentice Handicap Stakes. This race has been named after the horse that gave Willie Carson the first of his 3,828 winners in Britain, in a seven-furlong apprentice handicap at Catterick Racecourse on 19 July 1962. We are delighted that Willie will be joining us to present the prize to the Winning Connections of the Pinker’s Pond Apprentice Handicap.
For those unable to attend, all of the racing action will also be available to watch live on Racing TV and each race will be uploaded onto the Racing TV player on our website here.
The going is currently Good, Good to Firm in places; correct as of 9am on Tuesday 9 July.
The forecast tomorrow is for a cloudy day with highs of 19 degrees – we have no formal dress code, so please dress for the weather! View the full forecast here.
