We are racing tomorrow and following a race division, we now have 8 races scheduled.
As this meeting falls during the mourning period, we will continue to mark Her Majesty’s passing with tributes on-course.
Elements of the day will be more subdued out of respect for the Royal Family. Whilst we want racegoers to enjoy their day, and the Pennine Brewing Company will still be joining us with their beers, the live music has been cancelled and we ask all racegoers to be mindful of the special circumstances in which this race day will be taking place.
A two-minute silence will be held ahead of the opening race at approximately 1.35pm.
Please find the timings for the day below and a full list of runners & riders can be seen on the Racing TV website here, or check out Raceday Ready for all your need to know information and tips.
- Gates open to public: 11.48am
- First race: 1.48pm
- Last race: 5.50pm
For those unable to attend, all of the racing action will also be available to watch live on Racing TV and each race will be uploaded onto the Racing TV player on our website here.
The going is currently Soft, Good to Soft in places; correct as of 11am on Friday 16th September.
The forecast tomorrow is for a sunny day with some cloud cover and highs of 15 degrees – we have no formal dress code, so please dress for the weather! View the full forecast here.
Admission tickets for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure are £18 each on the day (£15 in advance of gates opening), and the Course Enclosure is £7 per adult at the gates on the day (£5 in advance). Under 18’s are free of charge in both enclosures and there will be free children's entertainment in the Course Enclosure.
There is a free shuttle bus service from Richmond Town Centre to the racecourse. The shuttle bus leaves from Richmond Market Place, just opposite the Town Hall Pub, approximately 1 hour prior to the first race and will return after the last race.
Please do not travel to the racecourse if you feel unwell or develop symptoms of covid-19.
