Catterick’s 2022 Flat season gets underway on Wednesday 6 April with the first of 17 fixtures at the course.
Emma Stevenson, Sales & Marketing Manager said: “We are delighted to be racing this summer with crowds back at full capacity. We’ve got an exciting season ahead of us, with a real mixture of themes and events alongside the racing action. There’s something for everyone to enjoy!”
Following the opening meeting, the Course takes on an Easter theme with the Easter Family Day on Wednesday 20 April. There will be free children’s entertainment including an inflatable Helter-Skelter and bouncy castle in the Course Enclosure plus an Egg Hunt – find the Golden Egg for a chance to win tickets to Lightwater Valley Theme Park!
The Easter Family Day is the first of three family days at Catterick this summer, with the ABF The Soldiers’ Charity Family Day returning on Tuesday 2 August, followed by additional family fun on 15 August.
The season continues in May with the popular Friday Evening Meeting (20th) and May Saturday (28th). Both with live music alongside the racing action. June will see Platinum Jubilee celebrations taking centre stage at the racecourse with the Jubilee Raceday on 3 June, while the ever-popular Ladies’ Day is back on Wednesday 24 August!
The Yorkshire Beer Festival also makes a return this year with the Pennine Brewing Co. showcasing 12 different ales and ciders for racegoers to enjoy alongside the racing action and live music by the Black Marcs!
In addition to the range of hospitality options available to racegoers, there is a new package available this season. The new Traditional Afternoon Tea Package includes hospitality admission, official race card, table reservation in the Paddock Café from 3.30pm onwards and full afternoon tea.
