Countryside Day, on Wednesday 7 March, is Catterick’s final meeting of the 2017/18 National Hunt season. Please find the timings for the day below and a full list of runners & riders can be seen on the Racing UK website here.
- Gates open: 11.50am
- First race: 1.50pm
- Last race: 4.50pm
- Feature race: 3.20pm – The Watch Racing UK in Stunning HD Handicap Steeple Chase.
The Hunter Chase is the sixth race on the card at 4:20pm, while the Flying Fillies’ Charity Race in aid of The Injured Jockey’s Fund and Jack Berry House will take place after the last race, at approximately 5.10pm. Find out which lady jockeys are taking part in the charity race here.
The going is currently Heavy, Soft in places.

Ahead of the first race at 12.50pm Philip Ellis, Yorkshire Salmon Guide from Swinton Estate near Masham will be giving a fishing talk and casting demonstration in the Parade Ring. All racegoers are invited to come to watch and enjoy this demonstration, which will last approximately 20-30 minutes.
We will also have trade stands from Swinton Estate, La Fille Rouge and Garstang Garden Ornaments.

If you are driving to the racecourse, please note that the Fort Bridge is now open. Racegoers can now leave the A1 at Junction 52 and follow the brown signs, which will lead them over the bridge and directly to the racecourse. The FREE shuttle bus will leave from Richmond Market Place (opposite the Town Hall Pub) at approx. 11.20am, and will return again after the last race.
Please be aware that the building works have now started at the course, and so the entrance nearest to Catterick Bridge is no longer in use. The main entrance to the racecourse is now at the East (Catterick Village) end of the racecourse. Please click here to view a map of the current layout.
