Catterick's 2020/21 National Hunt Season has now come to an end and although it has been a strange season, with the majority of meetings taking place behind closed doors, we have enjoyed some thrilling racing action and we're pleased to announce our Champion Owner, Trainer and Jockey for the season:
Champion Owner (joint): Mr Hunt and Mrs Verity
Mr J T B Hunt and Mrs E A Verity jointly top the leading owner board this season, both having enjoyed two wins. Mr Hunt's victories came with Omar Maretti on 5th February and 2nd March, and Mrs Verity's Sigurd also won on two occasions; 28th December and 3rd January.
Champion Trainer: Donald McCain
Donald McCain won the Champion Trainer title with a clear two-win lead over Oliver Greenall and Tim Easterby in second and third respectively. He enjoyed five wins at Catterick this season with Armattiekan, Lough Derg Jewel, Bareback Jack, The Herds Garden and Fruit N Nut.
Champion Jockey: Brian Hughes
Brian Hughes took the Champion Jockey title with 6 wins this season, giving him a clear lead over his rivals. His wins came aboard Amattiekan, Toi Storey, Bareback Jack, Sigurd, The Herds Garden and Fruit N Nut.
