Catterick Racecourse is delighted to be able to welcome a limited number of spectators back to the course to enjoy the Jump racing action on Tuesday 15 December.
The meeting is the second of ten National Hunt fixtures at the course this season, with seven races scheduled throughout the afternoon, starting at 12.20pm.
Racegoers should take note that all tickets must be purchased in advance as there will be no sales on the day. This is to fulfil the requirements for NHS Track & Trace and allow adequate time for all post codes and Tier levels to be checked by the racecourse office team.
As Catterick falls within a Tier 2 area, only those from Tiers 1 and 2 areas are eligible to attend the race day. This includes Annual Badge Holders, who are also required to register their attendance ahead of the day.
Fiona Needham, General Manager and Clerk of the Course said: “We’re thrilled to be able to welcome a crowd back to Catterick at our next meeting. The atmosphere has not been the same whilst racing behind closed doors and so we’re excited to enjoy some return to normality when fans return on Tuesday!”
The fixture on 15 December will be a Test event for the return of spectators, with the total spectator capacity limited to 500 including owners. The team at Catterick will then look to build on this model for the upcoming Christmas fixtures.
There will be a number of new protocols in place at the racecourse to keep everyone safe including a requirement for all individuals to wear a mask or face covering at all times whilst on the course (unless exempt or whilst eating or drinking).
In addition to the changes in protocols at the course, racegoers will also notice significant difference to the infrastructure as the new Owners & Trainers building has seen significant development since racegoers were last permitted on course in March.
Tickets for the test event on 15 December are available to purchase online at www.catterickbridge.co.uk. All tickets must be booked in advance and will not be available on the day.
