Catterick Racecourse is thrilled to announce Millbry Hill Country Store as continued sponsors of the Champion Jockey series for the upcoming National Hunt Season, starting Friday 22 November.
A grand prize will be given to the jockey who rides the most winners throughout the season.
In addition, Millbry Hill will be running a Ride of the Meeting series. At each meeting the judges will select the ride they deem to have been the most impressive, eye-catching ride on the card, and the winning jockey will be presented with a £20 voucher to spend at one of Millbry Hill’s five stores.
Emma Binnian, Sales & Marketing Manager at Catterick Racecourse said: “We’re so grateful to Millbry Hill for their ongoing support, this is a fantastic initiative and we’re looking forward to celebrating the jockey’s achievements and recognising stellar performances, in addition to the winning rides.”
At the end of the season, the Millbry Hill Ride of the Meeting series will culminate with a Ride of the Season vote. Racegoers will be given the opportunity to vote on social media for their favourite Ride of the Meeting from the season and a grand prize will be given to the jockey who had the Ride of the Season. The prize will be presented at the first meeting of the 2020/21 National Hunt Season.
Emma Jones, Marketing Manager at Millbry Hill Country Store said: “Millbry Hill is proud to be sponsoring Catterick’s Leading Jump Jockey for the second year running. We are also really excited to be introducing ‘Ride of the Meeting’ where we can recognise the jockeys outstanding professionalism and commitment to the industry.”
