The Go Racing in Yorkshire Winter Festival comes to Catterick tomorrow, Thursday 28 December! Please find the timings for the day below and a full list of runners & riders can be seen on the Racing UK website here.
- Gates open: 10.30am
- First race: 12.30pm
- Last race: 3.15pm
- Feature race: 2.05pm – The racinguk.com Steeple Chase.
The going is currently Good to Soft, Good in places.
A precautionary inspection is scheduled for 8am due to the possibility of overnight frost. An update will be posted following the inspection.

Festive Freddy, the winter festival mascot, will be at the course on the day ready to give any young racing fans on Santa’s ‘nice’ list an extra little Christmas gift! While the more seasoned race goers will want to arrive early at the course to enjoy the complimentary mulled wine & mince pies on arrival (while stocks last).
There's also an opportunity for racegoers to win a sponsorship experience by entering our text competition on the day. The experience will include choosing the Best Turned Out horse in the Parade Ring before the race and presenting the winning owners with their prize, as well as celebrating with connections after the race. Details of how to enter will be in the race card and around the course tomorrow or you can get your entry in early here.
Tickets are still available to purchase online, and also at the gates on the day.
If you are driving to the racecourse, please note that the Fort Bridge is now open. Racegoers can now leave the A1 at Junction 52 and follow the brown signs, which will lead them over the bridge and directly to the racecourse. The FREE shuttle bus will leave from Richmond Market Place (opposite the Town Hall Pub) at approx. 11.30am, and will return again after the last race.
